Hi Skiers and Snowboarders,

Skidex was invented with the idea of predicting your comfort before you head to the slopes. As skiing and snowboarding can be prohibitively expensive, its nice to "know before you go."

In essence, Skidex is a very simple concept that gives you a score on a scale of 0 - 10 to predict your comfort, where 0 is extreme discomfort and 10 is bliss, along with some other predictive weather features and some interesting sound bytes. The sound bytes are rare, but if you hear one and are soon heading for the slopes, it means that youll likely have an epic snow day. The bytes are inspired by a good family friend of the software development team and we hope they make you laugh! Youll likely be imitating the sound bytes once you figure them out; both in expression and in timbre.

Right now we offer Skidex predictions for the following ski areas and resorts, most of which are the busiest in North America (Eldora makes the list because its a hidden gem, made for making enduring family memories, so long as the wind isnt howling):
